Boca Dance Studio Gives Back to Lifenet4Families
Boca Raton, September 9, 2023 – Boca Dance Studio is proud to have raised $12,000 through its 501(c)3 Leave A Legacy Foundation for Lifenet4Families, a local organization dedicated to fighting hunger and changing lives.
Boca Dance Studio’s More Than Just Great Dancing!® mission includes supporting their community both inside and outside the classroom. Leave A Legacy Foundation is a unique initiative aimed at raising both funds and awareness for local charities, and offering young dancers a chance to come together for a larger purpose. The funds were raised through various events, including a Tutu Fun Run and large dance showcase featuring performances by the competitive teams at both Boca Dance Studio and sister ProAm Dance Studio.
Melanie Gibbs, the co-owner of Boca Dance Studio, expressed her enthusiasm for this initiative: “We believe in the transformative power of dance, not only to enrich kids’ lives but also to bring our community together. Lifenet4Families has been doing incredible work for families in need for almost 40 years, and we were honored to join forces with them.”
Lifenet4Families, founded in 1985, is a nonprofit organization that provides essential services such as food, shelter, clothing, and educational programs to families experiencing homelessness and poverty in Broward County. Their commitment to addressing the root causes of homelessness and empowering families to regain their independence aligns perfectly with the mission of Boca Dance Studio.
Over 150 dancers aged 5 – 18 participated in Leave A Legacy Foundation events in 2023. Boca Dance Studio invites everyone in the Broward and Palm Beach area to join them in this season’s festivities, slated for January and February of 2024.
