Boca Dance Studio Dancers Head to New York to Perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Boca Raton, FL — As families across the country prepare for Thanksgiving, dancers from Boca Dance Studio are already in New York City, gearing up to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This celebrated event gives talented young performers the opportunity of a lifetime as they take the national stage with Spirit of America Productions, joining more than 600 dancers from across the country.

Participating in the parade has become a cherished tradition for Boca Dance Studio. This year marks the studio’s fourth appearance, while sister studio Pompano Dance Studio celebrates its eighth. “Performing on Broadway in this parade is a young dancer’s dream,” said Artistic Director Katie Westrich. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to shine on live TV and feel the energy of the New York City crowd.”

Classroom Lead Alexis Ferreira shared her enthusiasm, saying, “I’m so proud of our dancers and the dedication they’ve shown! Watching them enjoy this magical experience is something I’ll remember forever.”

Seventeen Boca Dance Studio students departed on Saturday and are now immersed in a week of rehearsals and activities. Alongside preparing for their nationally televised performance, the dancers will take in the full New York City experience—including the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Broadway shows, sightseeing, and more.

“I love that this tradition inspires dancers across South Florida,” said studio owner Melanie Gibbs. “Seeing our students grow, work hard, and represent Boca Dance Studio on a national stage brings our entire dance community so much pride.”

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade airs live on NBC beginning at 8:30 a.m. EST.
