At Boca Dance Studio classes are offered in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop and acrobatics. Students spend an average of two years at each level before mastering the skills to advance. Since ballet is the foundation of all other dance forms we strongly recommend that all students attend a minimum of one ballet class.
FIRST STEPS (3-5)
Combination classes (Tap, Ballet and Acrobatics) are divided by age and are comprised of 20 minute sections geared to hold students’ attention for an entire class. Emphasis is placed on musicality, gross and fine motor skills, basic dance terminology and most importantly, FUN! Our preschool dance teachers love children and are excited to introduce them to the wonderful world of dance.
“FUN”DAMENTALS (1st-5th grade)
Classes are divided by age/grade level, are specific to subject (Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and Acrobatics) and range in length from 30 to 45 minutes. We offer a variety of subjects to appeal to all interests! Since ballet is the foundation of all other dance forms we strongly recommend that all students attend a minimum of one ballet class in addition to their other classes.
TEEN CLASSES (Middle and High School)
Classes (Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Acrobatics) are geared toward the older student and range in length from 45 to 60 minutes. Teachers acknowledge different experience levels within a class and modify material accordingly. Since ballet is the foundation of all other dance forms we strongly recommend that all students attend a minimum of one ballet class in addition to their other classes.
COMPANY CLASSES (invitation only)
These classes are run at an accelerated pace and are offered exclusively to our Company dancers, who have auditioned for placement and made a year-long commitment. Non-company dancers may participate in these classes on instructor’s recommendation only.
