Melanie Gibbs – Owner / Director

Ms Melanie is the director of two South Florida dance studios, which are home to over 550 students. She has been sharing her passion for dance and mentorship with South Florida students for more than 20 years. Ms Melanie is also the founder of Chapter FL-313 of National Honor Society for Dance Arts, and enjoys advocating for dance honor society around the US. Melanie is a founding member of More Than Just Great Dancing™ as well as a member of the Florida Dance Association and the National Dance Education Organization. Melanie is the founder of the 501c3 Leave A Legacy Foundation of South Florida, which in three years has raised more than $17,000 for local charities.

Brook Priebis – Enrollment Coordinator

Brook Priebis is entering her eleventh year with our organization. She holds a Masters Degree in Education and is a former Palm Beach County Schools teacher. Brook has extensive experience as a private tutor and holds the following State Certifications: Mathematics 6-12, Elementary Education K-6, Exceptional Student Education K-12, and ESOL Endorsement. She has completed management training from More Than Just Great Dancing™ and regularly seeks new opportunities to continue her education. As a student she was an award-winning competitor, performed with Parkway Middle School of the Arts, and the University of Florida dance company DANZA.

Katie Westrich – Performing Group Coordinator

Katie is a lifetime Boca Dance alum entering her tenth year of teaching. She has taught in numerous South Florida studios and received teacher and management training from More Than Just Great Dancing™. As a student, Katie was an award-winning competitor for BDS and performed at Disney World and The Crest Theatre as well as attended numerous conventions and dance programs such as Pacific Coast Dance Fest in Long Beach, CA and Florida Dance Festival in Miami. She holds a degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Sociology from FAU, where she was an active member of her sorority, Theta Phi Alpha. Ms. Katie teaches all levels as well as works side by side with Ms. Melanie on our Company and Collective groups.

Amy Norris – Community Coordinator

Amy is originally from New Jersey where she earned her BA in Psychology. She has extensive training in jazz, ballet, lyrical and musical theater and spent many years competing and performing at Disney World as well as for Royal Caribbean Cruises.  After many years she found her true passion to be in the classroom, and spent five years choreographing award winning competition pieces in NJ before moving to FL. In addition to handling local business partnerships, school auctions, benefit performances, charity events and more, Ms Amy teaches First Steps, “Fun”damentals and Teen classes and takes the lead on our Tiny Tappers and Mini Movers performing groups!

Daniela Nascimento – Ballet Mistress

Daniela is a Royal Academy of Dancing certified teacher originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil and is entering her eleventh year at Boca Dance. She has over 20 years of experience teaching ballet, pointe and character and as a professional dancer. Daniela has performed locally for Boca Ballet Theatre and in Brazil for Ilara Lopes and Nice Leite Nucleo de Danca. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas in Sao Paulo and received her certificates in 1997 from legendary ballerina Dame Margot Fonteyn, the president of the RAD. Ms Daniela oversees our company ballet program as well as advises on our “Fun”damentals and teen ballet curriculum and choreography.

Olivia Bink – Leadership Team

Olivia is a Florida native who started dancing at the age of 3. She is an experienced performer and competitor who trained under choreographers Scott Benson and Debbi Dee. Olivia traveled and performed with Hoctor’s Dance Caravan and International Dance Challenge. She has completed teacher and management training from More Than Just Great Dancing™. Ms Olivia teaches all levels as well as takes the lead managing our Pompano studio, ProAm Dance Studio.

Carly Higgins – Staff

Carly is a 15 year alum from our affiliate DANL Dance Center. She is an experienced competitor and performer and has been seen in the ProBowl halftime show in Hawaii and 42 Street for ClearChannel Miami. She relocated to Los Angeles for two years where she performed with Revelations Dance Company, taught for Fusion Dance Studio and toured with West Coast Dance Explosion as an assistant to Kim Wolfe. Ms Carly teaches all levels as well as creates competition choreography for our Collective group.

Kristy Tyson – Staff

Kristy is a 15 year alum who is entering her fourth year teaching at Boca Dance. In her student days she was an award winning competitor as well as a performer at Disney World and the Crest Theatre. She has worked in the Palm Beach County School District as an after-school leader/summer camp activities leader since 2005, and has had many opportunities to teach and choreograph musical and dance productions at Addison Mizner Elementary. She holds a Criminal Justice degree from FAU with a focus on child development and social services. Ms Kristy teaches all levels.

Rachel Willis – Staff

Rachel is an alum entering her fourth year teaching for Boca Dance. She is attending FIU as a Theater major and is recently returned from the Dance Studio Life Conference in Arizona, where she underwent intense teacher training. She also teaches children’s acting classes at the Green Room in Delray Beach in addition to pursuing her own performing career as a dancer, model and actress. Ms Rachel teaches “Fun”damentals classes.
