Boca Dance Studio - Studio Attire

Dance supplies are available year-round at the studio or at local dancewear shops. We strongly urge you to buy your supplies before the first day of class to prevent confusion and help students feel as prepared as possible.


✴ PRESCHOOL COMBINATION CLASSES:
Any color leotard - skirts, ruffles etc. are fine!
Any color tights or thin socks. Please no bare feet.
Tan buckle tap shoes and pink ballet slippers. Black lace ups and black slippers for boys.
Any hairstyle is acceptable although a ponytail is preferred.

✴ ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASSES:
Any color leotard/Any color tights or thin socks. Please no bare feet.
Tan buckle tap shoes, pink ballet slippers and tan slip-on jazz shoes.
Jazz and tap classes may wear short shorts over their leotard.
Hair must be in at least a ponytail although a bun is preferred.
Note: 4th/5th Grade Ballet must wear a solid color leotard and pink tights.

✴ MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL CLASSES:
Ballet:
Solid color leotard with pink tights and pink ballet or pointe shoes. Hair must be in a bun with bangs or layers off the face (clips or headband).

Tap:
Any comfortable dance clothes with the exception of long or baggy pants. Black lace-up oxford tap shoes.

Jazz/Lyrical:
Any combination of leotard, sports bra, shorts or tank tops. NO baggy t-shirts or baggy pants. Hair must be in at least a ponytail. Tan slip-on jazz shoes - NO bare feet.

✴ HIP HOP CLASSES:
Any comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement without distracting. Jazz shoes are
acceptable although sneakers are preferred. NO bare feet, open-toed or slip on shoes.
